bought a new mask and now my face has red blotches on cheeks and forehead

Strange how I never really thought it was my CPAP mask, but I think the soft rubber pushed againts my face has caused this strange condition. It seems to be right where the side pieces push up against your cheek and again at the top on my forehead. I am not 100% sure but went back to my older mask which is basically the same but has covers that go over the rubber on the sides. Anybody else experience this?

Some people have mentioned this in the past. It sounds like your old mask has a cushion liner on it. Try moving the liner from the old mask to the new one. Also, wash the new mask and rinse it well to make sure all of the soap is removed.
