ResMed AirSense S10 Autoset 12V for Power Backup

Post by fdw » Fri Feb 26, 2021 4:25 pm

Looking for options to connect my ResMed AirSense S10 Autoset or S9 to a battery using 12V connection instead of 110ac.

Thanks

I use a jump start battery.

If you are handy you can build yourself a battery with a charger.

Or you can plug in to a jump start battery.

I have built several battery setups with large batteries that cost more and are heavy to move around but nightly I plug in to

Buy a ResMed converter ( https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... 0-machines ), a mobility scooter battery, and a charger for the battery.

Note that the AirSense 10 and the S9 require different ResMed converters because of the different plug connectors.

A mobility scooter battery will power your machine for more hours without recharging as compared to a jump-start battery.

I have put together 3 -
1- 100AH=very heavy
1- 35AH=Heavy
1- 7AH = made for a trail camera w/solar charger

The 110A I bought for a hurricane that never came and doesn't have all the options the 1150 has but will last longer as will the 35A.

I also have 3 of the 1150's bought on sale at xmas time but not all at the same time and only after I was convinced it worked for my cpap. This allows me to charge one while using another. The other half uses cpap too plus I do use them for other things.

You can use the 1150 for an emergency lite or to charge your phone, power your iPhone or laptop or put air in tires or other inflatables. Also has 2 AC outlets for those small things that don't work on DC.
iirc - it has a 22AH battery which is user replaceable which is helpful if you are handy building these things.

Here is the User Manual with the specs ...
