Climateline tubing - still getting moisture?

Post by raisedfist » Wed Feb 24, 2021 7:53 am

My room temp is about 72-73 according to a thermometer and humidity is in the normal range. Tube settings I haven't adjusted, so it reads auto and 81*F. Do I need to crank up the hose heat or something?

Not a ton of water build up, but still enough to be annoying.

Crank up hose air temp a bit. Sometimes just 1 degree can make a huge difference.
You just have to cross the line in hose air temp to where it doesn't release the moisture in the air.
If the moisture is just in the mask...adding a short hose cozy might help (if your mask has a short hose) but I just turn up the hose air temp myself. So far that's been enough but if it wasn't then I would add a short hose cozy to keep the air in the short hose a bit warmer coming from the heated hose so that the air doesn't release the moisture.

Remember warm air will hold onto more moisture than cool air and sometimes there is a fine line between being warm enough to not allow condensation to happen.

The auto temp for hose air thing with the ResMed machines....doesn't always work so great. Been there and done that myself.
It's good but not perfect especially at the mask or short hose level.
