I was diagnosed with severe apnea end of December and provided with a Dreamstation Auto CPAP plus Resmed F30 full face mask.
Tend to find as a side sleeper that the mask often leaks around the top of the cushion around the nose area when pressure increases, no matter what I do with the fit. Have asked if I can switch to an F&P Simplus
My AHI was 35 prior to commencing with the CPAP treatment and now down to 5.5 but i'm looking to improve on this as get it down to 1 if possible and not sure how to fully interpret the data in Oscar yet, still learning. Do feel the min pressure is pretty low and wonder if still getting higher AHI due to this or not.
Could i have some advice or feedback please on the OSCAR output below and what I could potentially do to improve the AHI, plus any general observations on the stats/figures provided?
Thanks
Mike

Re: New Machine Settings Help Required
Increase your minimum pressure from 5 to 6.5 cm and see how that goes for a few nights...then if AHI is not reduced to your satisfaction...try 7 cm.
Please note you can only expect a reduction in the AHI in OAs and hyponeas. Increasing the pressure won't help with CAs/centrals.
Also please note I have been having some major problems accessing the forum...long story...and I don't know how long this window will stay open for me so if you respond and I don't respond back it is because I can't get back onto the forum.
Known problem affecting not just me.

Re: New Machine Settings Help Required
It appears you an use a little more pressure on the low end. I recommend raising your minimum pressure to 6. We recommend you only make one change at a time, then give it a few nights to see what effects it has. As with a lot of things in llife, we need time to adjust to them.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

Sorry for late reply didn’t realise the site redirect errors would last so long.
Ok thanks will increase minimum pressure to 6 and see how that goes for a few nights.
Many thanks
Mike
