Good Evening, I am new to this forum and new to CPAP in general having just been diagnosed about a month ago. I am currently 5'8 195lbs and was diagnosed with an AHI of 52. I was driven to take the sleep test as I was always feeling tired and ready to nap on command no matter how much or how little sleep I got. I have a resmed airsense 10 that I paid for personally vs having to use insurance, and am using primarily a full face hybrid style mask. I have always been a mouth breather even during the day. I am using the Resmed F30, and have also tried the dreamwear as well as the resmed f30i. I have been using my machine for the past few weeks and have been getting problems with leaking. When I first got the machine I slept fine and did not feel like I had any leaks. Now after a few weeks of using it and sleeping on my side I feel like I am slowly having more and more leaks. Initially I thought that it may be because I was using the small size cushion on the F30 or maybe I just needed to try and different profile of mask. Even with the various different masks I feel like I am waking up multiple times feeling a leak around the bridge of my nose. Maybe its just me subconsciously worried that I am having a leak so I wake up in order to check. Anyways I finally got my large cushion in for the F30 and used it for the first time last night. I felt like I had less leaks and overall better sleep but upon uploading my OSCAR data today it shows that last night I had by far the largest leak rate of any day yet. I also upped my pressure yesterday from 6 to 8. I am prescribed what I think is probably the standard pressure of 4-20. Can anyone help me interpret the data? It shows my AHI being below 5 daily but I still feel like I always have. Also please ignore the times on the machine as I work night shift and had to adjust the time to compensate for the machine and in order to record a full cycle vs having a split one.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Did the leaks last night wake you up?
How was your overall sleep quality? Wake often?

I may of woken up once due to feeling air in my eyes. Otherwise I felt like my sleep quality was pretty normal. Once I feel a leak, which is always around my nose, I try and reposition the mask and feel like once I mess with the mask I can never get it back correctly and continue to feel like it leaks.

Since last night was your first night at the new minimum pressure I suggest using that minimum for a few nights to see what happens.
Your AHI is composed of about 50% central apneas and 50% obstructive stuff and some of it could just be related to the leaks causing arousals that you might or might not remember. The centrals we can't fix with more pressure anyway.
If the leaks didn't cause a sleep disturbance then I wouldn't worry an awful lot about the leaks last night. They are short lived and it's just one night.
New settings sometimes just take a few nights for the body and brain to get adjusted to the new way of doing things. Unless new changes cause horrible results I like to give the body a chance to adjust a bit and see what we get over several nights.
