Looking for some advice to lower my AHI

Post by Stackoverflow » Mon Nov 16, 2020 6:29 am

Hi,

I started therapy not too long ago and I am looking for some advice to lower my AHI. My baseline AHI without treatment was 55. Some nights now, I am down into the 3 - 5 range, which from what I can tell is a great start. However, there are other nights I'm sitting between 5 and 10. I have GERD and have noticed the nights where my GERD is acting up, or I have had a late dinner, my AHI is significantly higher. I am working on some lifestyle changes to remedy this but I am also wondering if there is anything else I might be able to do to my settings that would make my treatment a bit more consistent.

I use a dreamstation APAP. Currently my settings are:
Min Pressure: 13
Max Pressure: 20
EPR: Off

My mask fits like a glove and from what I can see in OSCAR my leak rate is very low so I don't believe the mask to be the problem.

Last night I had a rough night, and I ate a very late dinner. Here are my charts:
