Hello I just started my cpap therapy a Week ago, consistently, (diagnosed on 2016) didn't follow doctors advice, used it on and off before now.
I am having tons of problems with my therapy, I have been reading around, and seeing that most of the people have this sort of claustrophobic and comfort issues. Luckily I go to sleep with no problems whatsoever.
My main problem has been feeling, really groggy, tired, brain fogged and every other day headaches. I am currently using a f20 mask, used to use a f30 (used to work fine before I feel like suffocating now). I have a bad allergic sinisustis problem. Had tried using the humidifier or not, neither seem different.
My AHI regularly goes from 2-3 with the f20 mask, sp02 levels all above 90%, average 96%, but feel more tired if I use Cpap compared to when I don't.
Could it be a Co2 problem? My first mask was a simplus didn't seem to cause me this sort of grogginnes headaches.
Pressure APAP 6-12
Thanks!

Re: Problems with therapy new user
How many hours of sleep are you getting?
Wake often during those hours or sleep solidly for the most part?
Take any medications of any kind? If so, what?
Headaches can come from a long list of potential causes...strap tension comes to mind because they do it to me when I try a full face mask. My neck doesn't like the strap placement and I end up with a tension headache from neck issues.
Grogginess can also come from medication side effects or simply poor sleep quality.
It is highly unlikely that this is from carbon dioxide retention unless your new mask isn't venting properly or adequately.
