No Vendor Criticism Allowed?

Post by Ingrid_K » Mon Aug 24, 2020 7:44 pm

I attempted a post a week or so ago asking folks opinion on who the more reliable vendors were, since I was/am getting lousy service from CPAP.com. The post has not appeared, nor has any explanation as to why it won't post. Am I correct to assume that complaints naming actual vendors are not allowed? Thanks.

No, you are not correct.

However, we don't care about your attempts to smear them.

Actually...while cpap.com hosts this forum....none of us have anything to do with anything that goes on at cpap.com and you will find that most of us have had happy experiences with them. The forum is a separate entity....we don't work for cpap.com. We are all unpaid peon volunteers. Myself included.

This really isn't the place to voice displeasure about actually any vendor....it gets you nowhere except maybe feeling a little better about complaining or venting.
And you will get a lot of people telling you they didn't have a problem and not give you much sympathy which probably wouldn't make you any happier.

What I did do was refer your original post to one of the owners of cpap.com to have them do something about the fact that you were an unhappy camper. Beyond that....not much anyone here can do.

I am sorry things didn't work out for you but.....I have bought many masks from cpap.com and yes, I uploaded my RX...and I haven't had any of the issues you have had. Can odd things happen and throw a monkey wrench in things...of course they can but in general with cpap.com they are the exception rather than the rule. We have zero way to know what is going on or why there is a problem and no one from cpap.com actively participates here. Your venting is falling on deaf ears.

They've been a good supplier to me for quite a few years. Once, I made a big mistake on an order. They jumped through hoops to correct it at their own expense.

They have gone above and beyond for me.
I recommend them to anyone.

I've been purchasing equipment and supplies from CPAP.COM since April 2005 and haven't had any problems at all.
All experiences have been extremely positive and I promote them any chance I get.
Complaints should be taken up with them, personally. Johnny and/or Carolyn Goodman are the ones who should be contacted.
It's my impression that they go out of their way to keep their customers happy.
Just because a customer is dissatisfied, doesn't necessarily mean it was the fault of the seller.

At the risk of doing the exact opposite of the apparent intent of OP, I will chime in and say that cpap.com is my absolute preferred provider. They have been more than fair over time, in prices as well as in customer service. I hadn't even known cpaptalk.com was sponsored by cpap.com way back when I first found them ... that's just a very nice bonus.

Complaints about vendors are allowed--in fact the two most mentioned are Apria and Lincare.
But complaining usually will not help when they are involved.
SOP (standard operating procedure) with them.
We will probably not hear how the OP's problem was resolved, because, privacy.
But we can trust it was, because that is how cpap.com is.

"The customer is always right" is such utter bullcrap, especially in this day and age when entitled asshats demand totally unreasonable things while chanting that line.

"NO, get out and don't do come back" is the appropriate response to so many of them, they ruin things for the rest of us.

More likely, we'll never hear, because ingred just wanted to whine and get sympathy for how terrible CPAP.com is, and didn't find that here.

It is possible, because she did not give any details.
She may have tried to start a thread before being approved.
Or a representative of one of the national chains . . .
Only one post, so, anything is possible.
