For the last 5 or 6 days, I have been waking up with trigger finger on my IP joint of my left thumb.
Phoned the doctor--they said to try a splint.
The oval-eight looks promising, so the bullfrog 3-d printed me one.
Anybody try this design?
How well did it work?
I want to nip this thing in the bud.
Thank you in advance.

In my experience? You can "tame" a trigger finger for awhile, but eventually you're going to have to get surgery to fix the annoying thing. It's not something that will go away. You can't take medication or rub something on it to get it to go away.
I lived with a trigger thumb for 1.5 years before getting it snipped. The surgery itself took about 10 minutes, but be warned that most doctors won't do it anywhere but the hospital anymore.
It is most common in diabetics (T1 and T2) and in people who have used their hands a lot at work - particularly if they've used tools a lot. I am in the latter category.
My hand surgeon says that if you wake up one morning or are doing something and your finger is "locked" and you can't unbend it, then this is considered an emergency of sorts as the longer you wait to have surgery, the more swelling and / or inflammation there will be to make things harder in healing.
My doctor used a long-lasting numbing agent (lasted three days) so I didn't have much pain post-surgery. I was pretty much back to normal once the stitches came out. YMMV.

With xPAP therapy, do or do not; there is no try.

Good to know.
They "wait and see'd" me on my carpal tunnel for over 3 months,
all the time while I suffered from parasthesia and hyperesthesia in BOTH hands.
I will most definitely push harder this time.
Maybe even get my endocrinologist involved.
