Auto BiPAP

Post by OnTheCouch » Wed Jul 01, 2020 12:42 pm

Can anyone tell me if the Philips Respironics DreamStation BiPAP Pro Machine DSX600T11 is an auto BiPap? I'm looking at buying one from a private seller, and I don't trust him to be any more knowledgeable on this topic than I am!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Google the model number.

That machine is a fixed BiPap, no auto.

Thank you. I did that, but still couldn't figure it out from the results I got - that's why I thought I should consult the experts!

The DreamStation model DSX600xxx is the fixed bilevel Pro model.
It offers 2 modes of operation
1....fixed cpap mode
2....fixed bilevel mode

It does NOT offer any auto adjusting pressures at all.

You would need the DSX700xxx model if you want bilevel auto adjusting capabilities.

No.....the 600 is a fixed pressure BiPAP and the 700 is the Auto BiPAP. The "Pro" designation is also a clue that it's fixed.
