High AHI while awake
High AHI while awake
I am trying to restart therapy after a years long break. Resmed Aircurve 10 Bipap machine in good condition. When doing testing while wide awake for at least an hour I'm always getting events around 100 or more! Good mask seal etc. No indication from machine that anything is wrong. Can this possibly be accurate? Hose problem? I don't get it. I haven't been able to get to sleep yet with it so every test has been awake. Any suggestions? Sleep test in 2015 said mold apnea, around 5, but worse in REM sleep which is why doctor recommends it.
Re: High AHI while awake
The only valid AHI is when you are asleep...breathing is different when you are awake

Re: High AHI while awake
So what does it mean exactly? I feel like I'm breathing totally normal.
Re: High AHI while awake
It means that any AHI you get while awake means nothing. Use it overnight and see what the AHI shows.
