Wisp Cushions and Fisher&Paykel Icon filters available

Post by Luke35 » Mon Jun 08, 2020 9:30 am

I signed up to cpaptalk about five years ago when I was first diagnosed with sleep apnea, but was not an active poster (THIS is actually my first post). I read a number of threads back in 2015, and then dropped off the face of the earth before ever contributing myself. My therapy has gone pretty well I have to say. I had my share of adjusting to the new normal, but have grown accustomed to having this mask and machine as my overnight security blanket.

I’ve been back to the forum lurking over the past several months as I have been researching new machines and online device/medical suppliers. I had become thoroughly disgusted with my local DME and [lack of] service when my old machine stopped working. Not the first or last time that I have been less than impressed with their ‘customer service.’ Luckily, I had a “spare” device that belonged to my father before he passed that I was able to adjust to my prescription and use in the meanwhile. I am now waiting for my new ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet to be delivered sometime later this week. We are drywalling and re-carpeting the bedroom, so I plan to just continue using the old machine until all of the dusty work is done and will break out the new machine sometime later this month once the paint is on the walls and the furniture is back in place.

I am not looking to break any laws or any forum rules, so please let me know if any of this is prohibited. I have a couple of sealed supplies that I have held onto, but will no longer need – a few mask cushions for a mask that I no longer use; a few filters for the machine that I no longer use; and a few items that were left over from my dad’s therapy. They are all sealed and I hate to just throw them away if others can use them, but I don’t know if it is okay to post that sort of thing here. I’m specifically choosing to not get more specific about the item details until I get clarification from someone here in the know.

Is there a more appropriate place for me to post these items in more detail? I’m not looking to make any profit on these supplies and am just looking to get shipping costs covered to move them out of my closet and keep them out of the landfill. Thanks for any tips; apologies if this is prohibited.

EDIT (Thanks Pugsy for the tip and clarification):

I have factory sealed available for exchange:
2 individually packaged Wisp Nasal Cushions (L)
5 individually packaged Fisher & Paykel Icon single pack filters

It is okay to post items you no longer use here on this forum.

A lot of people use the Great Pillow Exchange thread (it's evolved to a want and for free thread) even when not wanting to swap items...and to be honest some people will think "oh, I don't use a pillow mask so no sense in my reading"...

You might post there
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36070&p=1354513&hil ... e#p1354513

as well as change your topic/subject line in this thread here to reflect the details of the items you no longer need and want to give away.
