Fitbit Sleep - 'Before & After'

Post by HollyL » Tue Jun 02, 2020 4:02 am

Hi!

Firstly can I just express my enormous thanks and appreciation for this forum, I have only been a CPAP user since 23rd Jan, I am still very much 'a beginner'.
The advice and help I had at the beginning of my treatment was invaluable, since then (beginning of March) I haven't had a single night above 1 AHI, and managed to get my first 0 AHI in April! I am a CPAP convert, my life has COMPLETELY changed and for the first time in a very long time I don't need to wonder if I'll make it through a movie/dinner/conversation without falling asleep :D

I've included a 'Before and After' picture of my Fitbit sleep data because I found it so shocking, and to give a bit of hope to anyone else who might be in the same boat. The before was from August 2019, I actually stopped wearing it because it was so disheartening to wake up and see only a few mins of sleep, or sometimes nothing at all! I thought it was broken at one point, how could I still be functioning and working full time with such little sleep?!

Now I can see, it wasn't broken at all.
Without reading and actually properly listening to the advice on this forum, I know this wouldn't be the case. :D

Hi HollyL,

Well done. And I think you have done well because you're a quick study and you took on board what the better-informed people told you – having from the beginning a kind of native intuition as to who the better-informed people were and are.

As any long-term teacher will tell you – a willing and apt pupil is a delight.
