New User. Oscar Data

Post by lanny » Mon May 25, 2020 8:16 pm

I just imported my data onto Oscar. I couldn't screenshot all my charts w/o shrinking them down really small. I've attached 3 recent days. I have ResMed AirSense 10 Auto CPAP. My EPR was full time at 3 for all 3 days. 05/22 min. pressure 19.2-20 max pressure. Start pressure was at 15 and ramp was 45 minutes. 05/23 min. pressure 16-20 max pressure. 05/24 min. pressure was 17-20 max pressure. Any advice on how to get my AHI under 5?

You may not be able to control the CA events with your machine...Try turning down EPR (Or turn it off) and see if the AHI drops. Also..try dropping your minimum pressure to 14....You really should see your sleep doctor about the CAs. That could indicate Central Apnea which is handled with a different machine. You do seem like you are sleeping well.

I really hope that lowering your min. pressure somewhat along with the EPR will help lower the CA's - wish we knew why you had the min. so high (did someone think raising it would address centrals? It won't - only a different machine does that), especially as having it high may have increased the CAs, if anything.

Were you increasing the pressure in an effort to reduce the central apneas? It won't help and can make them worse.

Why such a high minimum pressure? Any special reason? How long have you been using cpap?
