I can relate, I have very sensitive skin, and the weather in Virgina has been crazy............Try Eucerin Calming Cream, it works great! Make sure you get the Calming Cream though, I found it in a squeeze tube at the Drug Store,
Walgreens, Rite Aid or perhaps Walmart..........Good Luck!

I have that dreaded "sensitive skin", and keep it moisturized all the time. Nivea creme works well for me, as does some others, but it's become my "old reliable". It comes in a round container, maybe 2+" high. I also keep a smaller container in my purse or jacket pocket in the winter. I was lucky to also find a very small tin of it, and keep that container filled, as it's easy to carry around; you can use any smaller container for whatever you choose. I use it as much on my hands, as my face in the winter.

Now, to your RASH: for a rash, I'd talk to your doctor about that first!
Are you exposed to the WIND? That may be the problem; if not, the doctor 'should' be able to tell you of something more specific that would be beneficial.

Nutrogena sunscreen (with something else on the label - the more expensive one, of course) is GREAT for sensitive/light-skinned people. Sunscreen does have a short shelf life, so you may as well put it on daily rather than waste it. I've been told to use it year-round, which of course I don't always do. I need to pick up another, so will post again with the exact wording of the type I was told to use.

I'd mention this to your doctor next time you're in - never know if it could be something that needs special attention.

Good luck. I know that skin rashes are especially irritating for men! Even though ladies don't like them, we don't need to shave our faces. (relief!)

(I'm assuming you're talking only about your face. If other body parts, you may not have to invest as much $$).
Oh, and, as always, "keep hands off face", eliminating transference of germs, which could[/u] have caused the rash, in addition to getting those colds.

My wife has dry skin on her hands (knuckles crack and bleed). She uses Amlactin (I think that is the name. She gets it at costco) or udder cream/balm, which she makes me go get at the local farm supply. She says both work well. Not sure if I would put either on your face though, maybe check with a dermatologist.

I talk about a general skin rash... not only face!! All the body part!!

Her in Canada we have a really bizzar winter with hight and low temperature like today we have -4C and next night the meteo predict -38C... Her the wind is very present ... But I get in the house... So I am not always in the wind!!

Also this is not a really a rash... I feel my skin burning like fire on my legs and arms, butt and face... I never completely shave my face because I had never tolerate it! I just trim my face hair.

I had talked to my doctor about it... He tell me that I just have dry skin... I see a dermatologist that thought that I was reacting on a Meds... I stop the Meds and the rash continue...

I don't know how to do now... Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Jeepster:
1. did you see a dermatologist after you were off the meds for at least 2 weekd?
2. If you're still off the meds, I'd find another dermatologist, or revisit the last one.
3. Check out the known side effects of those meds, either through an online search, or call the pharmacist, and he may be able to tell you. That way, you'll possibly know if the first dermatologist is bs'ing you - unknowingly of course. Sometime, some people guess at causes. He may have been correct, etc etc.
4. Good luck; arm yourself w/knowlege first, so that you can help the doc help you...that's what it takes sometimes, in addition to it doing no harm.

I am no "dissing" any doctors here, but "that's life" as we know it.
