Warning: If you had an especially bad night, do not read this.
When I read happy posts after a horrible night, I think: 'Oh, shut up already!'
I finally got six hours of sleep all IN A ROW last night.
Man! Does that feel good.
(I did it without Ambien or Margaritas, too # : )
I must have teased, modified, tweaked, chatroomed, and cajoled every little thing into place.
I haven't slept that long all at once in I don't know how long.
I used to not sleep because of Sleep Apnea.
Then, I couldn't sleep because of CPAPnea.
I wondered if the cure was worse than the disorder?
One day I thought: humm...maybe a little stroke or heart attack would put "mask discomfort" into proper perspective.
I've learned from asst'd doctors in the last month to keep acid reflex and your allergies treated because this contributes to swollen tissues in your nose and throat.
I have 14 more lbs of the 20 lbs to lose suggested by an ENT Doctor.
Then, if I see no improvement in my Apnea, I'll return to the ENT I interviewed early in Feb. and attempt to isolate just where the blockage may occur.
(By a flexi tube down the nose which he says sounds worse than it is: Yah, right.)
I'm still hoping something will "save" me from CPAP. Total denial. That's me.

66th night was the charm!
66th night was the charm!
Today I bent the truth to be kind, and I have no regrets; for I am far surer of what is kind, than I am of what is true.
Congrats, Bev!!
So what is this test where the ENT sticks a tube down your throat????? Is that to find the blockage responsible for the apnea?? Is this so they can isolate an area for possible surgical treatment?
Sorry for all the questions,,, It's just that no one has ever told me about a test like this... it's been like, "just wear your cpap"... no alternatives.
