Back to CPAP

Post by hitherhills » Fri Apr 03, 2020 9:22 pm

Hello,

I have started using my S8 Autoset II after many years, approx 12. In the past I could not tolerate it without Ambien or something similar, as I had quite a bit of insomnia at the time. I logged about 800 hrs and gave up. But times are changed, and I started using it. And it is helping a lot.

I can't find my old disk with the Rescan software. Can someone point me to a d/l so I can read this card data? I would like to make a report for my doc. My card reader is recognized in Windows device manager and slow blinks green. When I insert a card it blinks faster. But when I tried an import with Oscar there was nothing...

Thank You.

OSCAR is not compatible with the ResMed S8 model machines.
You are going to have to use ResScan.
Go here to the forum and register and log in....then once logged in the private file area that tells you how to get ResScan can be seen.

ResScan 6.0 is the latest version I think. There's been a lot of trouble with it because it requires a password to log in and use.
I think they are sending links both to 5.9 and 6.0 in one email.....get 5.9. The data is the same but 6.0 is a PITA to work with because of password issues

I don't suppose you have a compatible machine list handy? I have a ResMed AirSense10 Auto and I cannot get Oscar to import my DATALOG.

I managed to get a copy of ResScan but my Surface Pro 4 does not have an SD Card slot - so I've used another laptop (work) that I cannot install software onto and copied the files from the SD Card over the local network but I cannot "import" into ResScan. *facepalm*.

Any assistance you can provide would be great thank you.

ResScan only knows to look for an SD card to import from. I have never been able to get it to import from a folder on the computer.
There might be some way to get it done but I have never been able to find it.

Does it have a USB port? If it does you can get a SD card reader/adapter and plug it into the USB port and then put the SD card in the adapter and import that way.

Hi Pugsy,

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Because of the different laptops and potentially I would be located at work I utilised my OneDrive folder as the location (so I can load the files at work, and after a re-sync at home they're available).
Anyway, as I suspected Oscar did not like that the files were syncing between a cloud environment. I have set the root folder to "always be on this device" and the import was successful.

Edit: To answer your question it does, but I do not have a USB SD Card reader on hand.
