AirSense For Her SD Card Missing

Post by charlesrshell » Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:46 pm

My DME shipped a new AirSense 10 For Her to my house. The SD card is missing. They said it wasn't needed because the data is transmitted remotely by cellular communication. I said I wanted one anyway. DME said that any o SD card will not work. They have to program the card and send to me. They acted like they never done that before. DME said they will have to research to see if it is allowed. I said I will pay for the card if required. So, is the DME correct, do they have to program a SD card or can I just go buy my own SD card? I thought the AS10 can program the card. What size SD card should I get if I am allowed? Sorry if all this has been posted before.

Bull shit alert going off loud and clear...

You can use any generic SD card...I got one at WalMart. All you need is a 2 GB size (you might have one laying around the house somewhere) but it's getting really hard to find those smaller capacity cards. Bigger won't hurt thing .. I am using a Sandisk 8 GB regular SD card and it works just fine.
And yes, just stick it in the cpap machine and the machine will do whatever it needs to do to be happy with it.

If you use an old card you find laying around the house...erase it prior to putting it in the cpap machine.

Stay away from the really large special high def cards...it's over kill for one thing and a waste of money and sometimes the software has run into trouble with those really special high end cards.
Cheap generic works just fine. That's all those ResMed cards are....a cheap generic card with a ResMed sticker on it. ResMed doesn't make SD cards...they buy cheap ones and put their label on them.

OK, thanks Pugsy. I had a feeling they were blowing smoke. I also didn't get a Climate Tube. Haven't called them about that yet. If I purchase one thru CPAP.com will I need a proscription? Hope you are still feeling better!

Heated hoses like the ResMed heated hose for the AirSense machines don't require a prescription for you to buy one from cpap.com or any place really.

The only thing that cpap.com is going to require a prescription for is going to be the cpap machine and a mask package that contains all the components to make a complete mask.
If you want to buy replacement parts for the humidifier or mask no prescription is required.
