Ahi drastic ups

Post by Joecv5 » Wed Feb 19, 2020 11:35 am

Hi
Been using cpap since July. Had good numbers but have had to tweak setting a few times. Anyway my reading are almost always below 5 but for the past few weeks it’s been running around 1 except every few days it’s up to 20. When that happens leakage is .5

please see the links for downloading the oscar software so you can post charts for others to see and give advice.

also see the "newbies" thread for advice on how to get started with oscar.

you'll find links to both in my sig.

good luck!

I am not sure if OSCAR will support a DeVilbiss cpap machine but SleepyHead does.
OSCAR is based on SleepyHead but all the machine brands being supported didn't make it over.

Please take into consideration that the IntelliPAP Standard is a basic CPAP machine that tracks basic time usage. The IntelliPAP Standard PLUS is a more advanced CPAP that tracks efficacy data such as AHI and Leak Rate. The IntelliPAP Standard PLUS also comes with advanced SmartFlex technology that makes it easier to exhale.

This info. from CPAP.com website.

If this is your machine not going to get much to work with. :(

Maybe I am wrong. :? Hope so.

He says his AHI is a lot higher now....so he must be seeing something somewhere so I am thinking he probably has the wrong machine chosen in his equipment profile. That happens fairly often.

I don't understand his numbers. Ahi is usually below 5 but lately it has been 1 with an occasional 20...Leakage .5. ???????????
I went back and looked at previous post..and on the same day, one post said AHI was running 0-5, and on the next post he said it was over 5.

As far as I know, no functionality has been removed from Oscar, only added.
