AirSense 10 reached end of life

Post by Greengables » Tue Feb 11, 2020 5:50 pm

I believe My AirSense 10 AutoSet has reached the end of it’s life. Filter turns black after only a week, I can’t imagine how this could be an air quality issue. Also the machine no longer turns off on its own, I need to manually shut it off. It has been about 5 years, which I believe means time for a replacement anyhow. My concern is timing, will all the cpap companies introduce some new technology after I make my purchase? Does anyone know of a schedule when new technology is released? It seems nothing new has been released for a while. I like what I have but also like new gadgets and enjoy charts and graphs, which is limited with the current resmed app.
Thank you

And yet, it is! How could you possibly think it were anything else? after all, it's pulling air IN through the filter, not pushing it out.

Is your mask type set right? Does it work when your filter isn't black?

Oh, absolutely. The only question is when.

Yup, April 31st is when they're scheduled to release the new one.

And it always will be, we're too dumb to understand anything...

15,000 run hours is the average life expectancy.
Do you know how to read the run hours?
My filters always get gray really fast when Kansas burns the prairie.
They always wait until the wind blows from south to north--smothering Nebraska.

I went back and looked at your previous posts. You previously indicated that you got a new machine set up in Dec 2016. That makes your machine 3 years old. It should not be at it's "end of life". It appears you have an environmental problem..not a machine problem. Your current machine has great technology and data availability it you use it to it's fullest extent.
