Dreamwear FFM Loud Squeak Driving Me Crazy

Post by Morningglory » Fri Jan 31, 2020 7:03 am

I recently switched to Dreamwear FFM because the low profile gives more freedom to move. Things went well at first but soon I began having problems with loud intermittent squeaks. I wake up several times a night because of this and end up too discouraged to sleep more.

Sounds like it's coming from the side of the mask.

I've cleaned the mask a few times and always wash and try my face. I've fiddled with adjusting the headgear. It seems to help some to lubricate around the area where the magnets attach, but the results don't seem to last, even trying several different lube options. (Plus my cat obsessively tries to lick it all off.)

Has anyone successfully silenced this squeak in the Dreamwear FFM

Mask farts are very common. The best way to silence them is with a mask liner. The liner will not stop all of the leaks, but will stop the farting noise.

It’s not a fart, it’s a squeak and may be coming from the frame rather than the cushion.

I haven’t experienced this. Mine is more of a hiss if I get a leak but easily fix it. Is the mask too big? I got a fat face but fit a small headgear and small mask/cushion.
