Did Resmed change their pillows?
Did Resmed change their pillows?
I have been on CPAP since 2008. It has literally changed my life in so many ways. I am using the Airsense 10 with the Swift LT and a chin strap. I also work nights so I have an eye shield for sleeping in the daytime. I may as well be sleeping with my head in a bag lol. My question is regarding the Swift LT nasal pillows. They seem to be incredibly stiff. I don't remember them being so stiff. Well, for the past 12 months or so they seem that way. Did they change them at some point and I missed it? I have used this mask for years but over the past several months, I have had issues with leaks, fitment, nose pain (raw). The packaging is still labeled ResMed etc. Any thoughts? I may need something a bit more flexible and less rigid. Thanks!

The Swift LT was a mask I first started therapy with in 2009.
It's been around for a long time but your complaint about the pillows is the first I have seen in a long time about the perceived change in how they feel. There was some discussion about it back in maybe 2011 or so. Nothing since then really because as ResMed has released new masks over the years the Swift LT users have jumped ship to using one of the newer masks because they are just more comfortable than the Swift LT.
There are newer, better, softer nasal pillow masks out there now. Time to upgrade.

The P10 is a perennial favorite. Some people are using the new N30 headgear with the P10 mask for a better fit.
My wife and I both like the P30i, which uses a similar pillow design but has the hose at the top. However, I do think their sizing is a little off. I'm a big guy, and use the large cushion, but the small frame fits better. Maybe if I had more hair ....
