ResScan Card Reader

Post by rogerbrumf » Wed Feb 28, 2007 8:53 pm

I am installing the resmed resscan card and the autoscan 5.7
software. The software will not recognize the resscan card. Anyone
have a similar problem? I am an IT person and I have tried everything
under the sun on my PC to get the software to see the card. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you install the drivers for the reader? Instructions should have come with the software. If not, the drivers are on the cd. Also the card goes in the reader data chip up. Then again, maybe your card is bad.

Hope that helps.

I just got off the phone with Resmed tech support. They cant figure it out either. How can I tell if the card is bad? Have you had trouble or known of anyone with bad cards?

Are you using the resmed data card reader or trying to use a generic multi card reader we use for all of our other electronic gadgets? I was told by CPAP.com that only a resmed card reader could be used. So not only buying the software was needed but also the card reader too.

hi,
Are the USB ports working, and is your card reader recognised by the computer,if yes, you have to check the options in the software to tell him where is your card reader is connected,
If everything is ok, you should change the driver of the USB, or try another USB

Good luck

Be sure that when you put the card into the CPAP machine, it is with the chip side down. The machine willl say it is copying and then it will say copy is complete.

Then, be sure to insert the card chip side UP! in the card reader.

Then, go to Autoscan 5.7 software, go to download, then go to resscan data card, and it should work.

If not, let us know what it says, and maybe we can help.
