Need sD card for ResMed 10 autoset

Post by SterlingBay » Mon Oct 21, 2019 5:22 pm

Well I am pretty new to this...21 days in on my APAP machine. I downloaded OSCAR on my MAC and this evening went to check for my Sd card ...there is none! Was it supposed to come with one from my DME? If not is there a particular kind I need to order and do I have to do anything to set it up for use?
I was hoping to get info since I am still having lots of AHI 5 to 10 at times. When I install the card will it be able to access the past 21 days? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

Any generic SD card will work. 2 GB capacity is more than enough but most likely you won't be able to find one that small unless you've got one laying around the house somewhere.

I got mine at WalMart...Sandisk SD card 8 GB and it works just fine. You don't have to get a ResMed card.

If you do have an old SD card laying around the house...I would remove any files on it first and then put it in the machine and it will format the card like it wants it.

Thank you...I will see what I have.

Will I get all 21 days of data after I install it?

To get any of the detail graph stuff the SD card has to be inserted in the machine during the night.

What you will get for the past nights is the summary data stuff that is stored in the machine's internal memory.
So you will get some old data but minus the graphs.
Summary data....AHI, pressure and 95% leak numbers. Better than nothing and will give you a reasonable idea what was happening.

Just remember...if the SD card isn't in the cpap machine during the night....no detailed data because that data isn't stored in the machine and instead gets written directly to the SD card.

A good practice is to lock it before you put it in your PC/LAPTOP but remember to slide to unlock before replacing it in your ResMed. If you don’t the ResMed will tell you but if you don’t see the message on the screen it won’t record data.

I never lock my SD card.

The only time that is actually needed is when someone is using the S9 model machine.

There is no real need with the AirSense/AirCurve Resemed or other brands of machines.

Extra unneeded work unless someone is using an S9 machine.

Almost 3 years back, when I got my Resmed, it didn't have a card in it. There was much speculation here.... from the DME must have stole it, I was wrong, etc.... After a while, I believe we all realized that Resmed stopped putting them in the machine. Cost saving mode.... I recon. Anyway, as Pugs stated, pick one up somewhere. Leave it in the machine, unless you are downloading it on your 'puter.
