Hi all,
I’ve been using my CPAP/APAP machine for nearly 200 days. I’ve just had a doctors check up with a take home device and he says my pressure is too low at 7 and prescribed 9 for the future. I was in APAP mode but got switched to CPAP ...
last night I had my first CSR event lasting 28 minutes in all. Should I be very worried? Reading up on it is a bit scary. “Hear failure” imminent etc etc. Here is a screenshot of the event if I can manage to post it.

First of all thanks for reply.
I got to sleep quite quickly. I woke up after 1 hour 30 with AHI of 18 showing... so this morning I decided to look closer. For tonight I’ve raised pressure to 9 with a ramp of 10 minutes from 6-9.

I had the same scare and turning off the EPR feature made mine go away and appeared to be the cause which is not that unheard of.
I am not saying this is what is causing yours but it is one culprit sometimes.
I am sure the other people here can give you better ideas as to other things and what your data represents.

Increasing the pressure isn't the way to prevent central apneas.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Exactly which model machine do you have?
Your profile shows the AirSense 10 CPAP machine and it doesn't distinguish do the detailed graphs like you are showing.
You might want to edit your profile to reflect the correct machine.
If by chance you can't find your model machine and it is the AirSense 10 AutoSet....look down in the Rs...that's where it got stuck away from all the other AirSense machines.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Equipment menu choices...they are all alphabetical. You have to scroll down from the starting As to the Rs.

Yes I know. My sleep lab lowered me from 6-10 APAP to CPAP 8 then 7 but my specialist said go to CPAP 9 as it wasn’t sufficient.

200 nights on cpap and last night was the first time with CSR being flagged.
Makes me wonder what was different about last night than other nights?
Do you take many meds of any kind? If so, what? Dosage change?
You can alert your sleep doctor to this happening but my best guess is that he will say "let's watch it and see if it happens again or becomes a habit".
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Yeah I’ll wait it out. I don’t take strong meds and very little. I’ll see how tonight goes on 9.... thanks.
