Study shows lack of sleep could lead to risk of suicide

I don't think that this comes as a big surprise to most of us.

They're saying to test patients who have "medication resistant" depression for Sleep Apnea. I would say that this should be the first thing they test for, even before trying these meds! Although most medical professionals consider the depression medications "safe and well tolerated." they're not as safe as CPAP. Unfortunately, CPAP is not always "well tolerated." However, if Sleep Apnea is known to be present, the doctor would have a better idea of what (s)he's dealing with, even if the patient can't or won't use CPAP.
