Central events

Post by Dgriffin333 » Sun Jul 21, 2019 7:55 pm

I’ve been on a ResMed c pap for the last year or so and have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea around 18 events per hour using my CPAP my ahi is hovering between 3 and 5 now but however I still wake up feeling some what tired and morning headaches with most of those events being central now... so the question is would it be worth it to move to a asv machine and try to cut plank events out ? Thanks

I looked back at your previous posts, and I wonder whether you could post a recent Sleepyhead chart like the one you did a while back. That will help the experts answer your question. I also noticed that earlier there was some question about whether you were feeling some side-effects from medication. Any updates there?

Okay I’ll have to get some recent charts up and I am still on the medication for depression( Pristiq) however it’s so pose to be a stimulant medication and improve energy for a depression medication however I’m still not sure if I should get off it.. I’ve been debating tapering off it this week.

How's your sleep quality? Spend much time awake with mask and machine on?

When are your centrals being flagged?

Are you using any exhale relief? You might try turning EPR off and see if that makes any difference in the number of centrals.

You should also probably learn how to distinguish awake flagged events from asleep flagged events.
Awake stuff doesn't count.
