do you know this through the machines screen or via software, such as sleepyhead or oscar?

if the later, please post some charts so experts can see.

not being an expert, i'm stymied as to how your auto machine won't move off of a minimum of four.

has it always done this?

silly question-have you accidentally set the machine to cpap mode?
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Occasionally people make claims about machines not behaving how the settings say they should.

How do I put this gently?

A lot of the time it's not the machine.

Take some pics of the settings.

If you don't have any flow limitations or snoring.......it won't increase pressures.
Those two are what primarily trigger pressure increases.

The OP is making the claim that the range is set to 8-17, but won't move off of 4. Ramp is off.

Yeah. Something is not right with the setup. If the OP is using software, the problem SHOULD be visible.

Edit to add:

Maybe consulting the clinical manual would help (if the OP doesn't have a copy).
