Putting an SD card into Resmed S10 Autoset
Anything I need to know? Formatting? Or can I just insert it? The machine is brand new, did not come with a card. Goal is to transfer data to SH or the newly downloaded OSCAR.

No need to do anything special to the SD card. The machine will do whatever it needs/wants to do to the card to make it to its liking if it needs to.

I run SD cards in other things besides Cpap. Cameras, game cams, security cam. I usually always format my new cards jut to get it set to my machines. Not sure if it helps but I feel better about it.. Ray

Then you probably know, which I didn't until I read the Sleepyhead directions about sliding the metal thingy up and down? Down when you insert it into your computer so it doesn't get written on by anything in your computer and back up when you put it back in the CPAP.

That warning really only applies to ResMed S9 machine users now...that's the only model machine that having a little text file on the SD card will create a problem.bjhunt01 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 6:38 pmThen you probably know, which I didn't until I read the Sleepyhead directions about sliding the metal thingy up and down? Speaking about the S9, I have several that I use for travel, second home etc. One of them does indeed have a corrupted SD card... what's the fix? New SD card? Will the S9 operate without the card?Pugsy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 9:02 pmThat warning really only applies to ResMed S9 machine users now...that's the only model machine that having a little text file on the SD card will create a problem.bjhunt01 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 6:38 pmThen you probably know, which I didn't until I read the Sleepyhead directions about sliding the metal thingy up and down? The S9 will work without the SD card. It will not give you detail data for analysis unless the card is installed. Recap data is stored within the machine memory as well as on the card.

Yes, and Yes.RobertS975 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2019 12:34 pmOne of them does indeed have a corrupted SD card... what's the fix? New SD card? Will the S9 operate without the card?
But, just buy a new SD card and put in, in case you want/need to look at the data.
Get OSCAR
