I have been using my cpap machine and getting reports every morning about what's going on. (resmed)
My scores have been pretty good but they keep telling me that I have been having a lot of
events (stop breathing).
I always thought that this is going to happen anyway and the machine just helps you keep air coming into
your body.
I guess I'm asking what do they really mean. I don't think the machine was going to stop the events happening.
Thanks.

Re: Event # question
The ahi on a machine is what it fails to prevent.longjohn13 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 4:24 pmI have been using my cpap machine and getting reports every morning about what's going on. (resmed)

Re: Event # question
The goal is to prevent most events from happnening since they disturb your sleep and cause long term damage. The ahi will represent the events that it failed to prevent. If that number is still higher than about 2, then it is a good idea to look at the data and adjust your settings so that the machine canbe more successful. Since you are new, the best way to do this is to post the graphs from a typical night and let the experts help you make adjustments.longjohn13 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 4:24 pmI have been using my cpap machine and getting reports every morning about what's going on. Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?
