Interesting gizmo. Admittedly my eyes glazed over at the talk about use while exercising. That would presume one was exercising. The use as a muscle stimulator is not something I'm familiar with. Anyone here use one for that purpose and what's your thoughts? I'm only familiar with using TENS to interrupt pain signals.

Kathy, I wouldn't even consider it for exercising. Gramps has an interest in it for pain relief.

People with neuromuscular issues (MS and ALS) use these units to try to preserve muscle mass when they can no longer exercise on their own. It is used in conjunction with physical therapy and seems to result in less loss of muscle mass.

In this case instead of pain relief the pain of exercise results and it usually takes a day or two to recover.
