Full face mask frame.

Post by longjohn13 » Thu Apr 25, 2019 12:53 pm

I think I have narrowed my search down for a full face mask.
The Res Med air fit F 20 or the Fisher paykel simplus.
One has the frame top piece on the forehead and the other has it running below your eyes on the cheeks.

What do you like best?

For me, the F20 worked better. When I tightened the Simplus enough to seal around the bridge of my nose, it made my nose sore and I had to use a piece of moleskin on my nose every night. I did that for over a year. With the F20, I get a good seal without making my nose sore. I have a rather narrow bridge on the top of my nose and the F20 seals better for me.

I went from an AirFit F10 to an AirTouch F20. Both work great, the F20 is a bit more comfortable, but the cushion foam wears out WAY too fast.
I get my supplies from the VA, so no cost, but just hate wasting things if not necessary.

Over the years, I've have had issues with the fullface mask rubbing sores on my nose. The F20 doesn't give me issues around the bridge of my nose. I think it is the way it's constructed. I believe ResMed finally figured it out. Great mask for me.
