Let's Be Safe With Use of Vitamin D Out There!

Post by jnk... » Thu Apr 11, 2019 11:52 am

A 54-year-old man is now living with chronic kidney damage having followed his naturopath's advice and overdosed on vitamin D . . . The patient had absolutely no medical history of bone loss or vitamin D deficiency but he had been "prescribed" a daily dose of eight to 12 vitamin D drops by a naturopath anyway.--https://www.iflscience.com/health-and-m ... aturopath/

Just got my order in from Puritans Pride, $450 worth, I hope I don't kill myself, I got some D3 5,000 units. If I take too many can they write a paper on me to publish for a few bucks? I wish there was some way to shut down RAG Publications. Jim

To say nothing of naturopaths, which ought to be tarred and feathered.

The Canadian Liberal government is pushing to make all health supplements prescription only which makes me think we'll see plenty of stuff like this from the Canadian Medical Association Journal. Please note he was also sunbathing for 6-8 hours a day for two weeks when he got ill.

Love Them Rag Publications, they allow the H.S. dropouts to publish topics they slept thru in the principal's office. I had the post to see if it had any water spots on it from D.H.'s Wastebasket. Jim

My mother was into vitamins decades ago,, she always warned me about taking to much oil soluble vitamins since they tend to build up in your fat
cells...But you have to take a lot for an extended period of time...to be toxic. You can look up the toxic values of common vitamins

We see a lot of folks here who take supplements for this or that. It's my opinion that one should only take supplements to correct a deficiency and to determine a deficiency, one has be tested. Once a supplement regimen has begun, testing should continue at regular intervals to determine that optimal serum levels are being achieved and not exceeded. D3 is a good example. Many now feel that a 50-60ng/ml serum level is optimal while higher levels, greater than 80, can produce poor sleep. Without regular testing, people taking D3 supplements to improve sleep might actually accomplish the opposite.

A few companies offer blood testing direct to consumers for those that don't want to fool with insurance or the hassle of going to a doctor for a script. One is Walk in Labs, which offers most tests on demand through partner labs such as LabCorp. Order online, pay with credit card, go get the test and have the results via email in 24 hours.

This is more likely to appen if you don't take vitamin d3 with vitamin k2 and possibly counter with a similar amount of Vitamin A. Look it up :D

Why do you need to denigrate D.H.? Does it make you feel important?

ABSOLUTELY too much! RDA is 400-800 units. Unless you NEED that much.

So he WOULD get skin cancer, if he hadn't gotten kidney failure? Sounds like a slow suicide.
