Air Purifier

Post by jwoceanside » Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:16 am

Any negative reason not keeping an Air Purifier in the same room as your CPAP?

Is there an advisable distance from the CPAP?

I'm thinking about purchasing the Holmes HAP424 series

Any opinion welcomed

Thanks

Uh, no.

I'd say the only ill advised thing would be to try and balance the cpap on top of it, vibration might make it fall off.

Curious--how did that model make it to the top of your list?

I have two of these in my 3 bedroom town house. One lives down stairs and the other in the master bedroom.

I dont buy the expensive name brand replacement filters but get the generic ones you can get off of Amazon for way way cheaper. We have 4 cats [ not any more then 4, with out us getting our heads examined ] and with all the cat fuzz and who knows what else in the air it's amazing to clean out the pre-filters once a month and go... "I'm glad all that junk is here and not floating all around the house" if you get a good air cleaner you'll freak out a bit the first few times you clean it, especially if you have pets. You'll be happy your not breathing un what you find on the filters... as for having a air cleaner in the room with your PAP machine... I cant see any down sides as long as you can put up with the noise. Ours at full blast can be a bit anoying but it's more like a white noise machine... we usualy set ours to a mid setting when were in the room and save full blast for when we're away from the house. We,ve seen a noticable improvement in the air and the amount of dusting we have to do after havi g the cleaners, if you dont mind the noise and the expense of changing filters about once a year, air filters are awesome. Find one that works, make sure you do a bit of homework before spending any real money on one.

Best of luck

Restwell,

Gryphon
