Dreamwear small nasal mask too wide, ideas?

Post by Weef23 » Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:07 pm

Hi all,

I have a dreamwear nasal mask (not pillow) that is too wide in size small. The holes under the nose come out a bit too far so blow past my nose.

Anyone have any suggestions how I could maybe glue it with something on the sides of the holes to just reduce the width a bit? It's silicone so not sure what would stick.

Would this impact the pressure setting if I'm able to reduce the size of the holes a bit or would it compensate? I'd assume so since they sell different size cushions without having to adjust the machine.

Thanks!

I don't think it would impact the pressure that much (if any) but it's going to be hard to figure out something to stick to that silicone.
I tried just getting something to stick to it to put a little filter in the vent hole to diffuse the venting and I couldn't ever get anything to stick.

I do wish Respironics had offered the XSmall in both the under the nose cushion and the gel pillows version of this mask.
I have always felt that I would like an XSmall fit better but we don't even have that option to try.
