Hi all,
Thanks to help on this board, I determined I was having leakage problems with my mask. I decided to try a new one:
Old Mask: F&P Simplus Full Face
New Mask: Amara View Full Face - medium
It has been three nights now and it's been awesome. No more red marks on the bridge of my nose, my leakage is almost non-existent and my AHI all three nights has been between 1 and 2.
I am waking up finally fully rested and energetic.
Now, the weird part!
All three mornings, I have woken up completely stiff, head to toe, and feel like a train ran me over. Once I wake up and stretch, etc...I feel fine again.
I am curious if anyone else has experienced this and what the explanation is? More out of curiosity than anything else, it's a small price to pay for better sleep / no mask leak.
New Mask = whole-body stiffness in morning ?

Probably you are sleeping good and not tossing and turning or moving much...hence the muscles in the body are a bit stiff from staying pretty much in the same position all night with minimal movement to work out the muscles.
Quite common for that to happen to some people.

Re: New Mask = whole-body stiffness in morning ?
I think Pugsy's reply is spot on. I've also had the case of the morning stiffness when I first started therapy. I actually feel kind of good about it, I know I've slept deeply when it happens.

Hi @VariusZZZ!
I've actually experienced the same symptoms of waking up stiff, a few times it was only my fingers which I thought was really strange.
I chalked it up to @pugsy's reasoning and it actually hasn't occurred in a long time.
take care!
