Struggling with my settings

Post by richp » Thu Jan 10, 2019 4:34 pm

I've just begun to use my Resmed S9 again and it's really intolerable. I have the feeling that I can't exhale and that I'm about to explode when I wake in the middle of the night. I wind up tearing the thing off and sleeping without it. I'd love some advice. Is there a way I can post my settings/reports using Sleepyhead. I'm going to try turning on the EPR tonight and see how that goes but I seem to remember bad results when I did that in the past.

I couldn't bear using my S9 without EPR on. It makes exhaling much easier.

Make a note of what your AHI was without using EPR, then keep an eye on it when using EPR. You can choose how much exhale relief to try. Some people find they can use a bit of EPR but if the pressure backs off too much it might allow events to slip through. You'll have to find your best balance that gives you the most comfort with the least compromise to treatment.
