Increased AHIs with 98-99% mask fit

Post by Wolfie300 » Sun Jan 06, 2019 1:28 pm

Using DreamStation, Dreamware nasal mask with chin strap. Was at 0-2 AHIs per night but when I woke up multiple times a night (OAB) sometimes my fingers and lips felt tingly like before CPAP machine. So I asked Dr to increase pressure.. It went from 10 to 12 pressure. Only lasted a week at 12 pressure. Blowing air out of mouth, cheecks puffing out, AHIs increased to 5-8 every night and I felt awful during the day. Not rested. So I went back down to 10 pressure. Its been 3 days now and AHIs are still higher than before. 4.4, 5.3 and 2.5.. Mask fit is still 98% or higher. Any ideas why?

Without knowing what kind of events it's impossible to hazard a guess as to why or what.

If you really have the DreamStation CPAP machine model DSX200xxx.....there's no way to know what kind of apnea events you are having.
It doesn't distinguish between what kind of events like the other better machines.
Hopefully you just chose the wrong machine in your profile.
SleepyHead won't show you anything if your machine doesn't gather any information beyond hours of use and the generic AHI you see offered.

And how did you come up with this software in your profile
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/curati ... r-software
It's useless with any cpap machine besides the Curasa which hasn't been around for years.
