Five years in and I’m starting to open my mouth

Post by Codemonkey812 » Tue Jan 01, 2019 11:29 am

I have been on CPAP for five years and never had an issue with keeping my mouth closed while sleeping. But for the last two nights I have woken my wife or myself because my mouth is open. The only thing that has changed is my DreamStation broke and I got a new one. My pressure settings are the same (15-20), but could I have missed something else?

I can't answer the question, which seems reasonable to me, but the fact there has been no response by experts or anyone else here (in more than 48 hours) is interesting. It must be the nature of forums that they are stream of consciousness and a new post when members and leaders are preoccupied elsewhere will soon float too far downstream in the timeline for attention . One question pops up and several pages of posts will appear, possibly after the topic has repeatedly come up in previous posts where many have weighed in.

One approach has been helpful to me when looking for an answer. Go to Google Advanced to search the forum website (domain) using its separate entry boxes for "must have", "may have", and "must not have" search words and, also, search for any "must have" exact phrase". One will still get some clutter and may have to change search words or their order.

Some sites do have topics and their elements indexed, but I suppose the underlying software for this and many forums would make that convenience impossible: flat out undoable or too demanding of webmaster time and talent.

Here is an example of my suggestion: the search and its result,

dreamwear nasal pillow mask, same mask for two years. I lowered my setting to 10 and I have stopped opening my mouth at night but I am considered that I had to lower my pressure. I must have another setting wrong.

those darned squishy meatbags!!

when can we transfer our brains into androids? cpap would work so much better then.

oh wait...if we had android bodies, we won't NEED cpap.
