Irregular breathing all night

Post by isaacsmith » Mon Dec 17, 2018 8:54 am

My breathing at night looks to be very irregular -- while I'll sometimes have periods of regular breaths, most of the graph shows breaths that constantly change in intensity, duration, and rhythm. My pulse rate varies quite a bit as well: my resting BPM while awake is about 68, while in my few segments of regular breathing my BPM is around 62 but during irregular breathing it varies from low 60s to high 80s.

I've attached my charts from last night, are these breathing patterns normal?

A period of irregular breathing, with varying intensity and rhythm. About 2/3 of the graph for the night looks like this.

The irregular breathing is arousal breathing...you woke up..may or may not remember it. Obviously wake ups are unwanted.
Do you remember a lot of wake ups?
Do you take any medications...if so, what?

Turn off the pie chart (Preferences/Appearance tab...remove check mark) so that you aren't hiding the overall AHI.
It's more important than the machine settings or session information anyway.
See this thread for a better format for the various graphs.

I only remember waking up during the two gaps in the data at about 3:00 and 6:30, no memories of any of the other events. My AHI was 3.06, not great but not awful either. As usual for me, I woke up feeling just as tired as when I went to sleep, though.

I take cetirizine (antihistamine) and buproprion (antidepressant). I've stopped taking cetirizine in the past to confirm it wasn't the cause of my fatigue, and have had fatigue symptoms for long before I started buproprion.
