i think my mask is posessed

Post by Guest » Tue Feb 13, 2007 8:02 pm

i've been on cpap for 2 1/2 years now, lately i or something has been taking off my mask in the middle of the night. its kinda spooky but the funny thing is the way i find the mask in the morning, its been stuffed in a drawer, tied in a knot,my desk cleared of everything and the hose twisted so the mask looks like a cobra ready to strike, mask disassebled, under my pillow/mattress and more. i dont remember waking or doing any of this and i live alone. anyone else have this happen or should i fill the humidifier with holly water ? lol

If you see any green slime coming from the front of the mask - burn it!!

That mask of yours is really talented. *giggle*

What xPAP machine do you have? Do you have software and reader for it?

I'd wonder if maybe you are needing a pressure adjustment and because of that are having more "events".

Whoa!!!!

You MUST be posessed!!! Look at all the logon names (spirits) with yours!

I think Sadie has moved to your part of the country; you have my sympathy.

Why not take pictures of that 'cobra ready to strike' mask for the contest?

In addition to Holy water in your humidifier, I'd have the mask blessed, keep the closet doors closed, and nail some boards around the bottom of your bed.

EVENTS? I'd say so, Slinky! Maybe a party he wasn't invited to?

I'm sorry if this is "for real"...it's just too amazing, to do all of that without waking.

My son went through a phase of sleep walking, you would be amazed at the things a sleeping person can do. One good thing is that sleepwalkers rarely hurt themselves! They make alarms for beds that will sound a buzzer if you get up during the night. Might be worth looking into until your MD can check you out.

Have you tried an Exorcism? A Seance? A Cleansing?

Are you serious? If so,.... Oh my! And I would think of Sleepwalking as well.

i'm having events alright lol its for real, i dont remember doing any of it, but every morning its in a new position. i use a remstar pro/2 but i dont have a reader for it, wished i did cause it seems as though it isnt working like it used to, real tired in the evenings. i dont even know how long i sleep before i take the mask off. this morning when i woke up i thought i stepped in something from a dog i dont own, lol well it was my comfort gel mask all tore apart lying on the floor, the hose was tied around the humidifier. and the weird part of is the detail, the mask was laid out like a display, the hose had a perfect wrap around the humidifier with a neat little knot.

You might try a different mask if you have one.

You might raise your pressure by 1, if you are comfortable doing that.

Try all the the suggestions above. And you might hang Mr. Garlic around your neck for a couple of nights.

i'm going to try the garlic to be on the safe side, and close the doors, wood around the bed, try anything once lol. i could try increasing the pressure 1, i'm at 14 if i increase the pressure and i start hovering above the bed i'm throwing out the window.

ROTFL, Linda!

I'm amazed that you're so inventive and orderly - sort of like you are "putting your mask, etc. IN ITS PLACE" (as if to get even?)

"Guest"...who are you, REALLY?

There's your problem. You never hear of these sort of things with Resmed people.

If this is for real I do apologise.

This may sound kind of dumb but have you ever thought of placing a video camera to see what is happening? You might place it where you could not get at it while asleep. If it is too dark to video it would still pick up the audio.

Sleep walking can be extremely dangerous.

Hope you solve your problem.

I am reluctant to use the word "haunted" but I lived in a house on three acres where there was some very strange activity. There were smells, sounds and sites. Plus the TV turned it's self on several times.

After we lived there awhile I was told that written history told about three Indians who were hung close to the house, a jogger was killed in front of the house and I always suspected a previous owner had taken his own live there.

Sorry, this seems a little off your point.

Can I ask you something else? Why do you post as so many people? Have you ever asked anyone about the possibility of having MPD? I'm not trying to be funny either, but if you have issues that could be addressed and resolved, you might feel better in the long run. If I'm way off base, please don't be upset - just trying to help.
