New Machine Help
I'm in quick need of a replacement CPAP type of device and I don't know what's out there today.
Can someone direct me to a thread or website that can give me an idea of what to ask CIGNA & Care Centrix for?
Currently have a broken Resmed - s9 Autoset which was fantastic.
I couldn't find a thread here or a sticky concerning this info.
Thanks, Dave

Re: New Machine Help
The natural replacement is either the ResMed AirSensense 10 AutoSet or ResMed AirSensense 10 AutoSet for Her. The for Her model is very popular with both males and females.

Re: New Machine Help
Second Wind CPAP has a lightly used S9 Auto available as well as a new one. They also have some AirSense 10 machines. Also check your local Craig's List and Facebook Marketplace. I found my back up machine on Marketplace.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

Re: New Machine Help
LSAT is correct however, I certainly appreciate possible other non-insurance options if the cost of a new machine is out of reach.LSAT wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 12:08 pmHe is going through his CIGNA insuranceOkie bipap wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 12:04 pmSecond Wind CPAP has a lightly used S9 Auto available as well as a new one. Thanks to you both and to the previous posts.

You absolutely want something with full data, and preferably and auto function.

AirSensense 10 AutoSet Quiet?
Thanks to everyone that has responded. While the insurance and doctor visit prior to CIGNA approving the purchase have taken WAY too long, I've decided on the ResMed AirSensense 10 AutoSet. However, the running quietness is VERY important to me and my spouse. My S9 AutoSet quietness is very acceptable so can anyone advise if the 10 is quiet also? I have until morning to decide for sure since it's scheduled to be shipped in about 12 hours.

Re: New Machine Help
It's quiet.... just like the S9.

Supposedly, the Air10 machines are just a little quieter than the S9 series.dangerousdave wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 7:45 amThanks to everyone that has responded. Re: New Machine Help
That seems to be my experience as well.
With the S9 I would even sometimes get the bird call thing...haven't had it once since the AirSense.
The S9 was quiet...the AirSense even more quiet if that is possible. It's why when people are complaining that their non cpap spouse is being kept awake by a ResMed machine I tell them to talk to the DME about it. These machines are so quiet no one especial a non cpap user spouse should ever be hearing the motor.
