Avalon Aire Mask
Avalon Aire Mask
Has anyone tried this Avalon Aire mask? https://www.amazon.com/Avalon-Value-Pil ... 007X45B3W/
It looks kind of like the Breeze or Adams Circuit. Does anyone know if it can use Breeze nasal pillows?
Also, if anyone here has used it, your review?

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
I would think the one review they printed would be enough to put anyone off the thing!
Re: Avalon Aire Mask
Never heard of them.
But you might give them a shot especially the nasal pillow dilator things shown on this page

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
Amazon Review: this has to be the most overpriced, unnecessarily complicated, uncomfortable thing ever. it doesnt help that i ordered a medium and they sent me what must be at least a huge. way long amounts of straps are left hanging because this must have been designed to fit a supersized individual with nostrils like caverns. its material is rough and scratches the side of my face and there are way too many things to be adjusted and way to few instructions. the one thing that needs to be adjustable, the angle of the nasal pillows, is not. they angle up into the top of my nose so that the air flow is blocked, kind of defeating their purpose, and potentially unsafe and life threatening. finally, this is way overpriced for the materials used and the poor design. there is no way whatsoever this product is good enough to compete with the breeze or any other quality nasal pillow system. obviously i am hugely disappointed by this product and its company. im returning this and they had better return my $68.

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
REMStarCPAP, are you the same person who wrote the negative review on Amazon?
Re: Avalon Aire Mask
Julie, I would not make a decision on anything based on one negative or positive review. I have seen reviews of a product before that I used, that was totally opposite of my opinion. It can be good to see other's reviews, but I would not decide based on one review.
There is now a negative review on this thread too, but it sounds so much like the Amazon review, that I think it is from the same person.
Re: Avalon Aire Mask
Hi Pugsy, i don't see dilator pillows on their page. I do prefer the large dilator pillows from my Breeze, still have some, and wondered if I could use them with this headgear? But I do not see this company selling dilator pillows. Do you? Where? (where they list pillows-only small, medium, large, no dilators listed.)Pugsy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 9:13 amNever heard of them.

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
Well isn't it important to know what others have said? Or do you have a personal stake somehow (sorry, I don't really think so, but....).
Re: Avalon Aire Mask
Personal stake? What? That is a funny response. Yes, it is good to hear other's opinions. That is why I asked about it here. But no, I do not think it good to make purchasing decisions based solely on one review. Do you usually do that?

I found these...image at the bottom of the first linked to page and this one above if I click on the picture at the first link.
Whether they have them in stock and all that...dunno but since you really prefer that mask...worth checking further.

Looks like it to me unless once you put it in the cart something else pops up saying no.

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
True, that the photo looks like dilator pillows, but I don't think one can go by photos. I only see three choices, small, medium, large, with no dilator option. Do you actually see the word "dilator" there as an option for the pillows?Pugsy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 8:18 pmhttps://avalonaire.com/product/nasal-pillows-small/

I would not say I "prefer that mask", I have never used it. I do prefer the large dilator pillows with my Breeze, perhaps that is what you meant? Thank you.
Re: Avalon Aire Mask
You see what I see. I don't know what else to tell you.
Call them up and ask them. First place I have seen that doesn't say "out of stock" for any of the Breeze stuff.

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
I thought from what you wrote, that you might have seen the word "dilator", which I did not see. (Edit- I asked them on Amazon, they replied that they do not have dilator pillows.)
I just bought an Adams Circuit from CPAP Exchange, which uses the Breeze pillows. However, I cannot get a good seal with it, as I get on the Breeze. (Using my same dilator pillows). I hear air escaping. So unless I can figure out how to use it differently to eliminate that leak, I will likely return it. (Anyone have any tips on getting the Adams Circuit not to leak?)
This Avalon Aire looks very similar to the Adams Circuit. It might be an exact copy of it. In case it is different, I may buy one to try, and return it if also not good.
I still have my Breeze, but eventually they always break, and it can't be replaced. So I thought I would try these others. (I have tried a couple newer nasal pillow masks, but don't like anything nearly as much as my Breeze with large dilator pillows.)

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
The nasal pillows looked to me to be like the dilator ones I have seen on the Breeze.
It's the only ones I have seen even available anywhere that even looked like them. I had never seen them being offered as even working with some other model mask besides the Breeze.
Obviously I can't know about every mask out there and had never heard of this company...but until now I had never seen anything but the Breeze offering the dilator pillows. Will these work....dunno but might bide you some time while you search for a suitable replacement for the Breeze.

Re: Avalon Aire Mask
Yes, as I mentioned, the Adams Circuit (from same manufacturer as Breeze) used the same pillows, and so does this manufacturer. None have dilator pillows available though. The choice with the Adams Circuit I just bought was small, medium, or large pillows. No dilator option. As I mentioned though, I tried it with dilator pillows I already had, but could not get the same seal as with the Breeze.Pugsy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 5:53 amThe nasal pillows looked to me to be like the dilator ones I have seen on the Breeze.

I sure wish something like the Breeze would be manufactured again.
Anyone reading have experience with the Adams Circuit?
