Need help with Heated Humidifier

Post by DavidThornton » Mon Feb 12, 2007 7:06 pm

Hi all. I use a Fisher & Paykel HC150 Heated Humidifier connected to my Resmed S7 Elite and my mediuf Resperonics Full mask. My question revolves around the humidifier. I can't seem to get the right setting for a comfortable night's sleep. I either wake up with a dry nose and sore throat or a stuffy nose and this is without changing the settings. Has anyone else dealt with this issue and what did you do to resolve it.

I should tell you that I live in an apartment where someone else controls the heat so all I can do to regulate the inside temp is to open some windows and run some fans. This wouldn't be to bad if I were in Florida but no, I gotta be up in Ithaca NY.

Thanks,
David

I may be weird, but when I set it too low, I get dry throat, when I set it not quite high enough, I get a stuffy nose. With it on 5, however, I'm comfy and no congestion.

So, in my own experience, turning it up resolved the issue. Have no idea if that'll work for you though.

I have a resmed humidifier that has a broken lid but I am so tempted to go back to it because I had less trouble than with the hc 150.
