Air flow with UAR?

Post by AnnieLA » Mon Oct 22, 2018 8:23 pm

Looking at this slide: Image
It shows that UARS flow has a longer exhale. But I always had more difficulty inhaling than exhaling.

Here's my flow rate:

It looks more like a triangle than the normal breathing from the slide. Having little experience with this, I want to confirm with you if this is indeed anormal flow rate and that the resistance can be on the inspiration instead of the exhale? I suspect my sinus are causing the flow rate and terrible sleep/bruxism I had for the past five years. I need proof however.

Even this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gie2dhqP2c shows the resistance being on the exhale. What do you think?

It doesn't show that... whoever made that note was wrong. They're mistaking the extended inhalation time due to flow limitations as part of the exhale.

Most of yours in that example, look fine. But to get a better idea what's inhalation and what's exhalation, right click on 'flow rate', then 'dotted lines' and turn on the zero line. anything above zero is inhale, anything below zero is exhale.

Ah, no, flow limitations is on the inhale side of things.
