Need help with graphs

Post by acabgd » Sun Oct 07, 2018 7:11 am

Hi,

I'm using CPAP for 4.5 years now, doing okay and no major issues to speak of. I would just like someone more experienced to have a look at my graphs and eventually suggest if I'm doing okay or something might need to get tweaked.
I purposely chose the worst two days in the last couple of weeks. My AHI is usually aroud 2 - 2.5 and often goes below 1.0, while it seems the average pressure has increased somewhat in the last year to above 12.0 where it usually was.
I am using the Respironics system one™ remstar™ auto 560 with heated tube humidifier.

Thanks!
Alex

I would increase min pressure to 11...maybe 12 and see what happens to your AHI.

i'm not one of those experts you need. but that won't stop me from opening my yap! :)

how do you feel, without regard to the numbers? is your sleep still okay? or do you feel more crappy when your ahi is higher?
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

If you mean in general since using CPAP I feel 180 degrees different - I never feel sleepy during the day and mostly wake up refreshed. I rarely if ever wake up at night.
If my AHI numbers are higher I usually feel it in the morning, simply as if I've had a "bad night". However, it's still miles better than what it was before CPAP so I'm still okay.

What slightly worries me is that my AHI average is somewhat higher than a couple of years ago (by 1.0 point average), although I lost a lot of weight and I'm actually leading a healthier lifestyle than before. We did change the mattress, maybe that's another reason.

Actually, my AHI is rarely above 3.0 if I have 7 hours or more of sleep. It's usually when I have like 4-5.5 hours that I feel crappy and that the AHI humber is higher.

I'd still appreciate some more input from more experienced users, as I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong and if something could still be improved.

Your inspiration/expiration ratio is inverted from normal. That's not uncommon, but yours is rather pronounced. I don't know whether it's clinically significant, but you might want to post a zoom showing individual breaths. Perhaps the experts will have an insight. (Lose the pie chart so more info shows on the left.)
