Thank you-IMPROVEMENT

Post by Mouchet » Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:54 am

One year ago I basically gave up on CPAP.
I saw a sleep tech two weeks ago and became even more discouraged.
My leak rates were off the chart! Ussualy about 25+ for most of the night.
I tried numerous masks, seals, and sleep positions with no luck.

It appears things have begun to change, and I wanted to share what worked for me to help others.
I CANNOT put this is success story yet, because it is too early. But that will be my goal in a few weeks, if it all works out.
I pray it does.

With that said.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

My sleep apnea after 5 years of failure is finally looking like it might get better.
Everyone's support, information, and feedback, as well as sleepyhead has made the difference.

I wanted you to look at my reports, and see if I need any changes from those below

July 21 is with full mask and other dates are with changes made below.

Maybe this will help someone. I never thought I could wear a nasal mask, but mouth tapping works!
Also changing pressure works.

I just need to look into restless legs and possible alternatives compared to Mirapex ( A drug I fear)

Here is what i changed.
1. Switched from full face mask (too many leaks) to nasal mask only and tapped mouth shut using medical tape.
2. Switched from 4 to 12 pressure to 10 to 15 pressure rating.
3. Girlfriend rubbed legs before bed.

If it was me I would leave my max pressure set at 20. The machine is only going to go as high as it needs to go, just because it's set at 20 doesn't mean it's going to go to 20. It will do that only if it needs to. Nice work for the zero on the 25th.

Yup, just like a go-cart on the highway.... doesn't matter if the speed limit is 55 or 70... you're not getting up to it no how :D

Curious why you fear Mirapex? I've been using it for ten years for RLS and can't imagine what I would have done without it.
