Dreamwear FFM liners or covers

Post by ozzyluvshockey21 » Mon Jul 16, 2018 3:52 am

Even though I keep my room cool, I am finding that I am sweating under my dreamwear ffm. It has been causing me to itch and now I have a sweat rash on my face. I am still in my compliance period for this machine as it’s only my second month with it, so I can’t exactly take a break from it to just let it heal either. (HOW FRUSTRATING!) I am a long time cpap user and have never had to do this compliance crap before and am not amused!

Anyway, I tried to look for a cover for the mask but can’t find one for this specific mask anywhere. I found 2 liners only for it and per customer feedback the preferred ones for a month supply , which is only 4 of them is 25$ and of course insurance doesn’t cover it. I ordered them because I pretty much have no choice, but I’m annoyed over this entire situation.

Does anyone have any pointers or know of where I can get a cover that isn’t disposable that I have to keep shelling out of pocket for monthly?

It doesn't look like padacheek has a liner for the dreamwear ffm yet.

If you are just looking to reduce moisture, the DIY option should work. Use an old tshirt. Make. It about an inch bigger all around. At the top where your nose is, cut a deep V to clear the nose area. If you are a mouth breather you may need to cut out an area for that too.

Padacheek does not have an option for dreamwear ffm. I guess I will have to work up something myself, although I hate sewing with a passion. Thanks for your thoughts and time.

The Amara View is similar to the DreamWear FFM and might be close enough to work.
Call up Karen at Padacheek and ask her if she has had a chance to get a hold of a DreamWear to work on a liner specifically for it. Last I heard she just hadn't had a chance to get a DreamWear to work with. She might have one now and be working on it now.

Or if someone has the Amara View liner and is willing to loan it to me...I can try it out with my DreamWear and I will return it to you.

I can confirm that the Amara View liner from padacheek fits the DreamWear full face mask.

I'm an Amara View wearer so I had those padacheek liners available when I tried the DreamWear a few months back. It's not an absolutely perfect cut - I'm sure Karen at padacheek will soon come out with one that fits even better - but in a pinch it really did the trick for me.

That "bad news" for me was that the nose opening on the DreamWear is just enough bigger or differently shaped than the Amara View that the DreamWear wouldn't get a good seal - but none of that has anything to do with the liner.

Best of luck here on this one - Roger
