Feeling Tired and have Wicked Headache
Feeling Tired and have Wicked Headache
Hello All 1st time posting so hope someone can answer the following
Last two day I have been feeling like I haven’t slept and had really bad headache I have been on cpap for 10yrs now (Philips Respironics system 1), so this morning I downloaded the sleepyhead software and took a screen shot.
Now hoping some out there can give me some insight as to what I’m looking at thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Turn your graphs back on for one thing...and second thing review this thread for how to arrange the graphs and what to show and not show.

You've essentially given us zero information to look at....but from what little shows on the statistics it doesn't look like anything exciting is happening and maybe your new unwanted symptoms aren't related to sleep apnea or your therapy.
Your headache might just be from something else and I would be checking with my doctor if it were me.

Re: Feeling Tired and have Wicked Headache
As suspected...I don't see anything of great excitement on those detailed graphs that might explain a bad headache.
Lots of things can cause wicked headaches besides the OSA low oxygen headaches.
How's your neck feeling? I ask because I have a bad neck and when the cervical spine arthritis acts up then I can get some pretty bad headaches from muscle tension related to the neck.
Same thing for the feeling tired...lots of things can cause it including just having persistent/constant pain like with a bad headache that won't go away.

Check several past nights before you started feeling that way and maybe see if any of the typical values are noticeably different. Just from a casual glance, the median respiratory rate and minute ventilation may be worth comparing and contrasting. Could be nothing at all, and your feelings could be unrelated to CPAP itself.

I had to laugh...not at you though, at myself. I had your exact systems for a couple of days when I experimented with a high fat, low carb diet. Once my blood sugar got so low, I felt drained and had a whopper of a headache for nearly two days. I initially blamed it on my sleep!
But it turns out my body was transitioning toward ketosis. I'm still eating high fat, but introduce enough carbs for energy and to prevent headaches.

Consider medication or caffien habits. I drink a little coffee, but if I skip it Saturday, I have a headache sunday.

I would get your BP checked asap if you still have the headache.
