Are there CMS50F instructions for dummies?

I just got a new CMS50F firmware 6.0 to replace my old CMS50F firmware 3.4. It's prettier, but the old style seems easier to work with, in regards to file naming, and ability to to use data, and charge at the same time etc.

Has anyone written up any notes especially file naming with the assistant software. all I can figure out how to do is let it default to naming them with date based sequence numbers. Ive googled a bit, and read the manufacturer's manual, but the answers are not obvious to my simple mind. Thanks.
